Fall from height of 1,500 meters, Just Sprain

Parachute did not inflate , unconscious , falling from a height of 1,500 feet , but survived and only a sprain . That's what happened a Peruvian Air Force officer .

Arnulfo Gamarra , 31 years , practicing parachuting in Arequipa , south of Peru on Tuesday . Nothing odd . But when the plunge , do not inflate the parachute that carries perfectly . Parachute rope coiled around his neck . This condition makes Arnulfo unconscious .

Arnulfo body floated down and crashed near Air Base Vitor . Miraculously , he survived . Based on the results of the examination the doctor at a military hospital Arequipa , Gamarra just a sprain .

" He underwent a thorough examination and no broken bones , " said Guillermo Pacheco , a doctor stationed in the emergency room . " We do not know what to protect it as it fell , but he was still alive . It's a miracle he's still alive . "

Gamarra , who held the rank of sergeant , joined the air force for eight years . Young officer was only an overnight stay in the hospital and came home on Wednesday
